At Whole Note Distribution, we are first and foremost, music lovers…

…sometimes it’s easy to forget we all love music first, and Hi-Fi second - or at least that’s how it should be!

The company was founded to identify products that are, new; unique; forward-thinking, and ultimately, musical. We seek to work with specialist retailers who can showcase these products in the very best systems and settings, allowing UK audiophiles to experience what they never thought possible.

At age 12 I found my Dad's old records in the airing cupboard - Crosby, Stills & Nash; The Eagles; Neil Young, The Beatles et al. This discovery opened up a world of music that I still hold dear to this day, and of course it led me to find the best way in which to reproduce the recordings.

I’m sure he was proud he had managed to impart his musical tastes upon me, but perhaps less enthusiastic about finding parts of his Hi-Fi system migrating to my bedroom as often as I could get away with!

An intertwined love of music and Hi Fi has now relieved me of time and money for some 28 years, and I'm still as enthusiastic as ever about new equipment that redefines how we enjoy our music collection, and gets us closer to our favourite artists.

As societies advance, the world shrinks, and becomes more of a ‘Global Village’ giving access to technologies that make audio recordings available in many forms, and complex products more affordable. Yet sadly we have seen manufacturers leave the industry, quality arguably fall, and audiophiles left yearning for products that cover all the latest formats, but still offer benchmarks equal to, or better than historic products in listening tests.

I founded Whole Note Distribution to bring fresh and exciting products to UK Audiophiles. Never content with settling for mediocrity, my aim is to push the boundaries beyond what is accepted performance at given price-points, and to support retailers in their quest to serve their long-standing and new clients alike.
